Tarek Khader and Faith D'Amico win award at Mid-Atlantic Pharmacology Meeting

Temple student Tarek Khader with Colorado College student Faith D'Amico won a second place prize of $150 for their poster presented at Thomas Jefferson University on Oct. 27 at the Mid-Atlantic Pharmacology Society (MAPS) Annual Meeting Pharmacologic Advances in Hematology and Cardiology, hosted by Thomas Jefferson University Dept. of Pharmacology & Experimental Therapeutics. Title of their presentation was "Neuroprotection by p38SJ/DING in Fetal Alcohol Syndrome." Faith and Tarek were competing with postdocorates, graduate students and undergraduate students from several prestigious universities and pharmaceutical companies, including GlaxoSmithKline.
