COVID-19 vaccine opportunities in Philadelphia

To the Temple community:

We wanted to let you know that starting this week, COVID-19 vaccine eligibility in Philadelphia has expanded to include all Philadelphia residents over the age of 16. The city is also now providing vaccines to anyone who works in Philadelphia and can show proof of employment. Temple faculty, staff and students should take advantage of any opportunity they have to get vaccinated.

Pennsylvania’s online vaccine finder tool, VaccinatePA, has now expanded to include Philadelphia county. You can use this tool to search for available appointments throughout the state by entering your ZIP code. Find additional resources to help you obtain a vaccine.

The Center City Vaccination Clinic, located at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, is accepting walk-ups every day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The city will vaccinate anyone who lives or works in Philadelphia. Even if you live outside of the city, you can get vaccinated at the Center City Vaccination Clinic by showing your OWLcard.

Temple’s vaccination clinic at White Hall is currently focused on giving second doses of vaccine to those who had their first shots in the last three weeks. Because we are not able to provide first doses at this time, we strongly encourage you to seek other options for vaccinations, such as the Center City Vaccination Clinic.

Finally, if you have already been fully vaccinated, remember to upload your vaccine information to the Immunizations tab in the patient health portal

Sincerely,
