Leadership transition in Enrollment Management

Dear Colleagues,

We write to share the news that Jose Aviles, vice president for enrollment management and student success, has submitted his resignation. His last day at the university will be December 2.

Jose has reimagined enrollment management at the university over the last couple of years, helping move us to a modern, technology-and data-driven approach that has delivered results. Jose’s efforts have led the university to back-to-back years of first-year enrollment growth, including this past year when the Class of 2029 arrived on campus as the largest first-year class in our history. We are well on our way to another successful recruitment season, with applications up substantially for the Class of 2030.

Just as importantly, thanks to Jose’s leadership, the university also furthered its commitment to its historic mission of access as Temple Promise and Temple Future Scholars both launched during his tenure.

We extend our gratitude to Jose for his work and leadership over the past two years. We know the university community will join us in wishing him the best. Over the coming weeks, we will work closely with the enrollment and student success teams to make the transition as smooth as possible.

Sincerely,

John Fry
