Substantial job growth in digital forensics

Computer data can last forever. Every hard drive contains every site visited, every photo and article downloaded — and erasing it is a lot harder than most people think. There is substantial job growth in digital forensics, an umbrella term that includes cyber security and information system auditing. That involves assessing whether computer systems safeguard assets and protect data integrity, said Richard Flanagan, director of IT auditing and cyber-security programs at Temple's Fox School of Business. In January, the Fox School will launch a new master's of science degree in IT auditing and cyber security.
