Faced with declining state revenue, Temple Provost and Interim Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs Richard M. Englert spent the last year looking at ways to cut costs and improve operations. In a 25-page white paper, Englert laid out a range of possibilities, including the restructuring of several schools and colleges and faculty teaching workloads. "We need to look at how to do things more efficiently and effectively," he said. But he also asserted: "One thing we're absolutely committed to is keeping tuition at reasonable levels."
