Prior to assuming this position, she was a tenured associate professor of English and African-American studies at the University of South Carolina.

“Dr. Barnett’s record of excellence in teaching and her experience providing and developing quality faculty development programming at the McGraw Center make her the ideal choice to direct the TLC,” Englert said.

“She will bring tremendous energy and creativity to this role and will provide the leadership necessary to continue to grow and improve our Teaching and Learning Center.”

Pamela is excited to be coming to Temple. “As I talked with Temple faculty, administrators and graduate students, I was impressed by the widely shared commitment to Temple’s educational mission. I wanted to be part of it.

This university community values the Teaching and Learning Center’s work. I look forward to expanding the center’s reach and supporting Temple’s teachers in the coming years.”

Barnett assumes her new responsibilities as associate vice provost and director of the Teaching and Learning Center on July 9, 2007.
