Temple realigns communications effort
Temple has realigned its communications operation to provide greater continuity for the university’s strategic marketing and communications efforts. University Communications now reports to Ken Lawrence Jr., senior vice president for government, community and public affairs. Led by Assistant Vice President Ray Betzner, University Communications is responsible for integrating strategic communications with all internal and external media, including local, state, national and international print, broadcast and online media. His office also takes the lead in crisis communications. The University Communications staff produces the Temple Times and the daily Temple Today e-mail and manages the university’s Online Newsroom. Advancement Communications reports to Tilghman Moyer, interim vice president for institutional advancement. Led by Assistant Vice President Ingrid Heim Thack, Advancement Communications comprises Creative Services, including graphic design, photography and web communications, and Alumni and Development Communications. Advancement Communications also promotes the university’s mission by executing central marketing, branding and advertising initiatives and by reinforcing strategic messaging, graphic identity and editorial style. |
