Moore appointed director of Institutional Research
John V. Moore III has been named director of Institutional Research, effective July 1. Moore joined Temple as associate director of Institutional Research in October 2009. In this position he began several of the projects that he will continue as director, including serving as the department’s representative in the ongoing implementation of the SunGuardHE Banner computer system. He also provided informational support for internal strategic planning activities and for external audiences such as government agencies, surveys and college guidebooks. “As the office moves forward, I want to build upon the tradition of strong customer service that my predecessor Tim Walsh built by creating more self service options for data users that will allow them to access information they need quickly and efficiently,” Moore said. As director, Moore will continue to work closely on the Banner Implementation Project and to provide data and research assistance to various academic and administrative departments. He is particularly looking forward to working with Enrollment Management to provide support to initiatives that recruit, retain and graduate Temple students. Moore holds an M.Ed in college student affairs from the University of South Florida and a graduate certificate in institutional research from Indiana University. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in higher education and inquiry methodology at Indiana University. |
