The place that helped give Temple its name gets a grand opening today. The 119 year old Baptist Temple along the Broad street campus was closed 30 years ago. Crews completed a $30 million makeover and now the Temple at Temple is ready to be used as a center for arts and culture. There will be a special choral, violin and jazz performance by university students at today’s celebration.
