Lady Owls won't be underestimated

Temple's women's basketball team cherished their Cinderella role against powerful No. 2 seed Notre Dame in the second round of the NCAA tournament Monday night. The Owls were featured prominently in the Salt Lake Tribune in several stories leading up to the match up. "If the Owls play as well Monday night as they did against the [Arizona State] Sun Devils, they will be a tough out for the Irish....The Temple defense held Arizona State to one of its worst shooting percentages of the season," wrote reporter Kyle Goon. Previewing the Notre Dame contest, Owls Coach Tonya Cordoza said, "It should be a physical game. We welcome the challenge."
