"The students were great": TUJ staff describes Japan earthquake

Students and staff at Temple University, Japan Campus (TUJ) — Temple's pioneering campus in Tokyo — kept their cool during a powerful earthquake that struck Japan on Friday. TUJ Dean Bruce Stronach, faculty member Kyle Cleveland and Temple students described the quake and its aftermath. Damage was limited and no injuries were reported. "My staff was great and the students were great," Stronach told the Inquirer at 2:05 a.m. Tokyo time. "The evacuation of the building could have been a drill, people were that calm. Staff in particular took charge, and did their jobs, even while the building was moving and shaking. Nobody really panicked."
