Fan Project: Philly fans expect Flyers to win Stanley Cup

In a poll from the ongoing "Philly Fan Project" between Temple's Sport Industry Research Center (SIRC) and the Philadelphia Daily News, 44 percent of respondents said they expect the Flyers to reach the Stanley Cup final, with 33 percent saying they expect the team to win. In the same survey, 88 percent of fans said the Sixers' .500 season is a success no matter what happens in the NBA playoffs. The survey also gauged attitudes about the ongoing NFL lockout, with the majority of fans saying they feel no games will be lost to the labor dispute.
