North Broad becoming a bright spot for the city

A surge of construction and building renovations are transforming North Broad Street. At the 600 block of Broad, there are new apartments and the renowned Osteria restaurant, and more residential and dining spaces are in the works. But with major projects also under way at Temple, the changes won't just be limited to the stretch of North Broad closest to Center City. As part of its 20/20 framework, the university is constructing a residential and retail complex and a new architecture building, renovating and expanding Pearson and McGonigle Halls and planning a major science education and research building.
