Bracey leads panel of African-American tech entrepreneurs

Jaime Bracey, director of STEM education, outreach and research at Temple, moderated a panel of leading African-American entrepreneurs in Philadelphia as part of Philly Tech Week. Bracey introduced an historical component to the discussion by asking panelists to consider the number of patents created by slaves in 18th-century America. "At that time, the motivation to create innovative technology was economic freedom," she said. "Have motivations for innovation [among entrepreneurs of color] changed?"
