The Inquirer reviewed both of the productions launched last weekend by Temple University Repertory Theater, a new professional summer company. The professional casts for Anton Chekhov's Three Sisters and William Shakespeare's Measure for Measure are composed of mid-career students in Temple's master of fine arts program, plus faculty. "Three Sisters is wonderfully rich for the many characters Chekhov has created, if not always for what they are saying and in that, Dan Kern's Temple Rep production excels," said Inquirer theater critic Howard Shapiro. Kern is head of the acting program in Temple's Theater Department.
