Philadelphia Police Central Detective Division is investigating a series of off-campus robberies involving Temple students, which took place between Sunday morning and Monday evening in the northwestern area outside of campus. The dates, times, locations and suspect descriptions are as follows: 

• Sunday, November 11 at 8:45 a.m. 2000 N. 18th Street, African American male 30 years of age, 5’9” wearing a black “beanie” cap, blue puffy coat and blue jeans. 
• Sunday, November 11 at 8:15 p.m. 1600 W. Edgley Street, African American male wearing a red “hoodie” with the hood covering his face. 
• Monday, November 12 at 6:00 p.m. 2100 N. 16th Street, African American male, 6’1”, thin build, black “hoodie” with baggy black jeans. 

The Philadelphia and Temple Police have increased patrols in the area. If you see these males, do not approach them and call 911 immediately. If on campus, contact Temple Police by calling 1-1234 from a campus phone or 215-204-1234 from a non-campus phone.

In light of these incidents, we would like to remind everyone in the Temple community:

• Walk with another person or group, especially during evening or overnight hours and in isolated areas. 
• Refrain from using devices like cell phones and MP3 players when walking and be aware of your surroundings at all times. 
• Do not engage, or become engaged, in conversations with strangers. 
• Avoid dark or hidden walkways and temptation to use shortcuts and informal pathways 
• Trust your instincts…if you feel uncomfortable in a place or situation, leave the area and go somewhere safe. 
• Take advantage of the Owloop and TUr Door services that operate from 5:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. The Owloop is available for on-campus transportation, as well as TUr Door for those living just off the campus.
