During a Dec. 17 press conference, Temple Athletics Director Bill Bradshaw officially introduced Matt Rhule as the university's new head football coach.

"The interest in our head coaching position was overwhelming, diverse and national in scope," said Bradshaw at the press conference. "But the one who never wavered, who wanted this position more than any other candidate, just happened to be the same coach who we wanted the most.”

Rhule, who has 15 seasons of coaching experience, was an assistant coach at Temple from 2006-2011. Last year, he served as the assistant offensive line coach with the New York Giants.
