The American Heart Association has selected Verdi DiSesa as chairperson of the 2013 Greater Philadelphia Heart Walk. DiSesa is chief operating officer of Temple University Health System, vice dean for Clinical Affairs, professor of surgery for Temple University School of Medicine and interim CEO of Fox Chase Cancer Center. 

As chairperson for the Heart Walk, Verdi will provide volunteer leadership for corporate involvement of Heart Walk teams and sponsorships throughout the Philadelphia region.

The 2013 Greater Philadelphia Heart Walk will be held on Saturday, Nov. 9, at Citizen’s Bank Park and continue through FDR Park.
