Yesterday, Pennsylvania's Senate Appropriations Committee passed Senate Bill 1469 as part of its budget package. If enacted, the bill would restore Temple’s funding to last year’s level. While this is an important step and a great improvement over the prior proposal, it is far from the end of the process.

Temple leaders, students appeal for funding in Harrisburg

A hearing before the Senate Appropriations Committee yesterday in Harrisburg was the latest in a series of efforts by Temple administrators, students and other members of the Temple community to make the case for a fair Commonwealth appropriation. Already, Temple supporters have sent nearly 6,000 letters to their legislators through the Temple Advocates Legislative Outreach Network.
