Bettye Collier-Thomas, professor of history, has won the Association of Black Women Historians' 2010 Letitiia Woods Brown Memorial Book Prize for her latest book, Jesus, Jobs and Justice: African American Women and Religion. The next meeting of the Association for the Study of African American Life and History will devote a plenary session to discussing the book's historical significance.
