Jack VanDerhei, associate professor of risk, insurance, and healthcare management at the Fox School of Business, contributed to the U.S. Government Accountability Office report "Private Pensions: Low Defined Contribution Plan Savings May Pose Challenges to Retirement Security, Especially for Many Low-Income Workers." The report was released on Dec. 11 by Rep. George Miller, chair of the House Education and Labor Committee. Much of the analysis in the report was based on VanDerhei's series of studies on 401(k) plans as well as his previous congressional testimony.
