Joe Goldblatt, senior lecturer at the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management, received an award for research from the Office of the Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies at Temple University.  Goldblatt’s $2,000 award will be used to support his research at the Strehlow Research Centre in Alice Springs, Australia, during the summer of 2007.  Goldblatt will examine the contemporary meaning of traditional aboriginal ceremonies and rituals and their cultural, economic, social, environmental, and political context.
