Martin Lorenz, of the Department of Mathematics at the College of Science and Technology, received a grant from the National Security Agency for the project “Topics in Noncommutative Algebra and Invariant Theory.” The award provides $40,338 for the first year of support, with total funding estimated at $77,391 for the period Oct. 1, 2008 through Sept. 30, 2010.
