Nina Vieru won first place in the senior division in violin performance at the LISMA Foundation International Music Competition

Nina Vieru, an undergraduate Instrumental Studies major studying violin with Laura H. Carnell Professor of Violin, Eduard Schmieder, won first place in the senior division in violin performance at the LISMA Foundation International Music Competition. The Competition was held in New York and Ms. Vieru was the only participant who lived and studied outside the city. She received $1,500 and will perform in an upcoming concert in New York.
