Steven Bell, Temple University's associate university librarian for research and instruction, recently began his one-year term as president of the Association of College and Research Libraries. With more than 13,000 members across all types of academic libraries, from community colleges to the largest university libraries in North America, ACRL is the largest division within the American Library Association.  

Margery Sly, director of Temple Libraries' Special Collections Research Center, was recently elected vice president/president-elect of the Academy of Certified Archivists, a national organization of some 1200 members.
