Tyler professors to have work featured at National Adoption Center's annual gala

Tyler School of Art professors Martha Madigan, photography, and Pepón Osorio, a Carnell Professor, will have their work featured at the National Adoption Center’s annual gala, “Celebration of Family: The Art of Adoption.” The artwork will be auctioned, alongside other high end items, to support the Center’s work and to build awareness for the thousands of children in Philadelphia who need loving families. In commemoration of four decades of creating families for more than 23,000 children, the Center has established an Adoption Hall of Fame. The celebration will feature ten prominent Philadelphia artists who have agreed to create works inspired by the story of a child who lived in foster care and was adopted through the center’s efforts. Founded in 1972, the National Adoption Center is a Philadelphia-based nonprofit that expands adoption opportunities for children living in foster care.
