Yuri Persidsky, MD, PhD, professor and chair, Department of Pathology Laboratory Medicine, has received a MERIT Award from the National Institute of Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism. The award is an NIH grant given to investigators who have demonstrated superior competence and productivity during their previous research endeavors and who are likely to continue to perform in an outstanding manner in the future.
