Temple Ambler Closure; Classes Offered Remotely
To the campus community:
On Friday, Sept. 3, and Saturday, Sept. 4, Temple University Ambler will be closed and in-person classes will be held remotely to allow for assessment and clean-up of tornado damage.
Online classes will be held as scheduled. Essential personnel should report to work, and employees scheduled to work remotely should do so. All employees should check in with their supervisors.
Due to the campus closure, there will be no Inter-Campus Bus service or Ambler Train Station shuttle service on Friday, Sept. 3.
The university response to this severe weather incident has been both swift and supportive. University Operations as well as multiple tree and roof companies and restoration services have been on campus all day working tirelessly to ensure campus can open as soon as possible.
Please note that due to the current conditions on campus and ongoing clean-up, no one other than essential personnel is permitted on campus during the closure.
This has been an unprecedented event. If you need to speak to someone, we encourage you to reach out to Tuttleman Counseling Services.
We also encourage you to support the university’s Student Emergency Aid Fund. The purpose of the fund is to provide short-term financial assistance during unusual or unforeseen circumstances such as now. If you are a student in need of emergency aid, please fill out the online application.
University employees can receive assistance through HR’s Employee Assistance Program. Services are available to employees online 24/7 or contact 1-888-267-8126.
We will continue to provide ongoing updates as they become available.
Best,
