Grab a free COVID-19 test before leaving for winter break
Dear Temple students,
As you prepare to leave campus for winter break, we wanted to remind you to pick up a free COVID-19 antigen test prior to your departure. Taking a test is the best way to know that your family and friends will be safe as you return home for break.
Free COVID-19 antigen tests can be picked up at
- Howard Gittis Student Center,
- Charles Library,
- TECH Center,
- Student Health symptomatic COVID-19 testing clinic on Cecil B. Moore Ave. (next to Insomnia Cookies) and
- Student Health office 1700 N. Broad St., 4th Floor.
If you do test positive, we ask that you upload those results to the patient health portal. You do not need to upload negative results.
Finally, If you will come in contact with anyone who may be more vulnerable to COVID-19 over winter break, we encourage you to wear a mask when in public beforehand. Wearing a mask for one week is good, 10 days is better and two weeks is best. This will help prevent you from becoming ill prior to getting together with others.
Also, as we have noted, the overall best way to protect your loved ones from contracting COVID-19 is being up to date with your COVID-19 vaccine. COVID-19 boosters are available at many locations, and we encourage all members of our community to stay up to date on boosters.
Best of luck to you as the fall semester comes to a close, and we hope you enjoy winter break.
Sincerely,
Mark Denys
