Dear colleagues:

We are writing to let you know that Chief Compliance Officer Alejandro Diaz informed the university in December that he would be resigning, effective today, to pursue another opportunity outside the university. Susan Smith, who currently serves as senior counsel, will serve as interim chief compliance officer, reporting to the Board of Trustees. Susan brings with her more than 25 years of experience in higher education and governance, and she is highly qualified to lead the Ethics and Compliance Office. Susan will assume her new role today.

Over the last four years, Alex and his team have helped Temple implement an effective and comprehensive ethics and compliance program.

We offer a heartfelt thank you to Alex for his years of outstanding service, and congratulations to Susan on her new role.
