Dear Colleagues, 

On Friday, Aug. 18, Temple University representatives met with representatives of the Temple Association of University Professionals (TAUP) and mutually agreed upon the ground rules for contract negotiations. The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 30, where we hope to discuss the proposals that university representatives presented to TAUP on Friday, and receive proposals from TAUP.  

We are waiting for TAUP to provide its availability for additional bargaining dates. With the current agreement set to expire Sunday, Oct. 15, Temple is prepared to meet as often as necessary to negotiate a fair contract that benefits our faculty members and the Temple community. 

Collective bargaining is a marathon, not a sprint. We promise to keep the Temple community updated as negotiations continue. We will be launching a temple.edu page that provides university budget updates and information related to TAUP negotiations in the coming weeks.
