Angela Polec named vice president for strategic marketing and communications

Dear Colleagues,

I am pleased to share that, following a national search, Angela Polec, FOX ’07, ’12, has been named vice president for strategic marketing and communications. Subject to final approval by the Board of Trustees, Angela will start her new role on Nov. 20, 2023.

Angela comes to Temple after serving as the vice president of marketing and communications at La Salle University where she reported directly to the president and elevated the strategic role of the division. During her tenure, she led the development of an integrated content strategy, a transformation of the university’s digital presence and a brand campaign that will be launching next month.

Prior to arriving at La Salle, Angela served as the executive director of marketing and communications at Montgomery County Community College. While she is a two-time Temple alumna, she is also very familiar with the division that she will now be leading. Angela worked at Temple from 2011-2014, during which time, the Strategic Marketing and Communications division was formed. In the newly formed division, she served as the university’s first director of marketing and managed the brand development project for the expanded “Temple Made” campaign, which remains one of most revered brand campaigns in this institution’s history. I invite you to learn more about Angela in this news story.

I want to thank the search committee, chaired by Dean David Boardman, for their dedication to this important appointment. Angela is a proven leader in higher education marketing and communications, and we look forward to welcoming her back to the nest.

Sincerely,

Richard M. Englert
President
