University operations during spring break

This announcement includes important information for students, faculty, and staff in preparation for the university’s spring break, scheduled for Monday, March 4, through Sunday, March 10. During spring break, no undergraduate classes will be held, but the university will function as normal. Students from professional schools should refer to their respective academic calendars for specific scheduling information.

Students remaining on campus

  • Undergraduate residence halls will close on Saturday, March 2, at noon and will reopen on Sunday, March 10, at 10 a.m. Students will be required to vacate their university housing assignment by noon on Saturday, March 2, unless they have an approved extension.
  • Dining service will end after lunch on Saturday, March 2 and the first meal upon return from this break is dinner on Sunday, March 10.
  • Visit the University Housing and Residential Life website for more information and reminders before leaving campus.
  • Students not leaving for spring break are encouraged to use the Walking Escort Program. Call 8-WALK (8-9255) from a campus phone or 215-777-9255 to request a security escort.
  • Ambler–Main Campus shuttle service will be suspended for spring break after the last regularly scheduled trip on Friday, March 1. Service will resume on Monday, March 11.
  • The Flight Shuttle service will operate on a modified schedule during spring break. As such, shuttles will be at each stop approximately every 30 minutes.

Students living off-campus are encouraged to review the Public Safety website for tips before leaving for spring break and available services if staying in your residence through the break.
