Temple bookstore to transition to Follett

To the Temple community,

Next month, Temple University’s bookstore will transition to a new provider, with Follett replacing Barnes & Noble beginning Monday, June 24, 2024.

We appreciate the long partnership we have enjoyed with Barnes & Noble, and we are equally excited for this new partnership with Follett, which has emerged as one of the leading providers of educational services and products to colleges and universities in recent years. With Follett at the helm, we fully expect to provide all Temple stakeholders—students, faculty, staff, alumni and fans—with an excellent collegiate bookstore experience.

The Barnes & Noble bookstores on Main Campus and the Health Sciences Center will officially close next week on Friday, June 7, at 4 p.m., but the website will cease operations this Sunday, June 2, at 11:59 p.m. Then, for June 8 through June 23, bookstore operations will be temporarily shut down as we make our way through this transition. Both in-person and online operations will then reopen on June 24 when Follett assumes management.

We appreciate everyone’s patience during this time of transition.

Sincerely,

Ken Kaiser
Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer
