Temple to partner with WellSpan to open new medical campus

Dear Colleagues and Students,

Last week, Temple University’s Board of Trustees formally approved an agreement that the university’s Lewis Katz School of Medicine has made with WellSpan Health to open a new regional campus for Temple’s medical school in York County, Pennsylvania. This will now be the second regional campus for Katz, as the school also enrolls students at the St. Luke’s University Health Network campus in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

WellSpan is renowned for its commitment to exceptional patient care, and this new campus will provide our students with countless opportunities to learn and grow. Just as importantly, this campus will be the first medical school in York County, which will ultimately lead to improved health outcomes there and across the commonwealth.

We invite you to learn more about this new collaboration in this Temple Now piece. We also plan to hold a special celebratory event at the future site of the York campus later this spring and will share more details soon. We hope you’ll join us then.

Sincerely,

John Fry
