Brian T. Keech named vice president for government and community relations

Dear Colleagues,

Following a national search, I am pleased to share that Brian T. Keech has been appointed Temple University’s vice president for government and community relations. Brian will assume his new responsibilities this fall.

A longtime resident of the Philadelphia region, Brian joins Temple after spending more than 25 years at Drexel University, including almost 15 years as its senior vice president for government and community relations. Throughout his career, Brian has built strong relationships with elected officials at the local, state and federal levels and navigated complex political processes. He has also demonstrated expertise at fostering meaningful connections with institutions, businesses and civic leaders.

At Temple, Brian will lead the university’s efforts to strengthen our partnerships with government agencies, civic leaders and community stakeholders. As Temple’s chief advocate on public policy matters, he will work to advance initiatives that support our students, faculty, staff and neighbors.

Having worked closely with Brian, I know he brings not only experience and insight, but also a deep commitment to furthering the mission of higher education generally and at Temple in particular. I am confident that his leadership will continue to increase the university’s visibility and impact in Philadelphia, across Pennsylvania and beyond. I invite you to learn more about Brian here

I want to thank the search committee and especially its chair, Vice President for Strategic Marketing and Communications Angela Polec, for their work and commitment throughout this process. Please join me in welcoming Brian to the Temple community.

Sincerely,

John Fry
President
