New technology has been installed at Temple's Ambler Campus that will help monitor earthquakes. "We do actually get earthquakes here on the East Coast, and our network of seismometers is not as dense as we'd like," said Jonathan Nyquist, a professor in the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences. The new seismometer at Ambler "is designed to pick up very low-frequency vibrations," Nyquist said. "The main goal is to pick up earthquake activity on the East Coast."

Friendly's new Ultimate Grilled Cheese Burger Melt replaces the traditional bun with two grilled cheese sandwiches. At 1,160 calories, this mega-calorie burger is gracing menus at a time when we know more about obesity then ever before and many restaurant chains list calories on the menu.
