The theme of this conference will be "Frederick Douglass on War, Peace and Emancipation."
Keynote address and book (Frederick Douglass: 19th century Black Male) signing by Dr. Daniel Black, Clark Atlanta University, Atlanta, GA.  Womanist Dr. Daniel Black is professor of English and African American studies at Clark Atlanta University/Morehouse College. His most recent book is titled Twelve Gates to the City. Previously he has authored three novels: They Tell Me of a Home, The Sacred Place and Perfect Peace.
Panel on Frederick Douglas includes moderator Dr. Diane Turner and curator Charles Blockson from the Afro-American Collection, Temple University.
