Among worst cities for allergies, Philly ranks near the top
Trisha Acri, assistant professor of Family and Community Medicine at Temple, is not surprised that Philadelphia is number 14 on the list of top 100 most challenging cities to live with spring allergies. "The trees that are indigenous to this part of the country tend to have high pollen counts and the moist air," Acri said. “This time of year is particularly bad. Pollen counts tend to be higher this time of the year…that tends to make allergies worse."
