Temple psychologist Frank Farley discussed the subject of very young kids and teenagers going on adventures, such as sailing around the world or climbing the world's highest mountains, with "Voice of Reason" host Larry Kane. "We overemphasize age as a criterion for human behavior," said Farley. "It's almost ageism to say no 16-year-old could do this, no 13-year-old could do that. We need to treat people as individuals and look at what their history is and what their skills and experience amount to and make our decision based on that."
