Bin Laden killing a 'teachable moment'

Bin Laden killing a 'teachable moment'

The gruesome news reports of former al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden's death is something parents should shield their children from, but they should answer truthfully if their children ask questions, said Temple psychologist Frank Farley. "We don't want our kids to be blind to what is going on in the world," Farley said. "But, on the other hand, we want kids to grow up with a positive outlook on life. We want our kids to grow up happy, healthy and positive." He cautioned parents to be good role models and not to "show elation over it."
