Bucks County and the Lower Bucks County Chamber of Commerce recently introduced area companies to resources that small and medium-sized businesses can use to start exporting. More and more businesses are getting into exporting as they begin to realize that more than 90 percent of the world's consumers live outside the United States, said Holly Meng of Temple's Small Business Development Center. The center is currently helping about 50 companies position themselves to sell products overseas. "I think the information is more open now," said Meng, the center's senior specialist for international business. "We're trying to educate them and let them know it's not that difficult."
