Temple has been named one of the nation's 10 "most influential" colleges on Twitter, the increasingly popular online social network and microblogging service. TempleUniv (www.twitter.com/#TempleUniv) — the university's official Twitter feed, maintained by the Office of University Communications — was ranked as the eighth most influential by Klout, a company that measures influence in social media. Factors reflected in the rankings include the number of followers a user has, how often a user is retweeted and how a user’s tweets are being used in the conversation on Twitter. Stanford, Harvard and Cal-Berkeley were the universities joining Temple on the "most influential" list.
