Hiring has gotten so hot in some fields that firms are making job offers that require a response within 24 hours. These “exploding” job offers are not common, said Megan Panaccio from the Center for Student Professional Development in Temple’s Fox School of Business. “They do run the risk that the student will accept that job, (but) continue to interview, come across what they consider a better opportunity, and then they’ll go back to that first employer and reneg, which is against what our code of conduct would be.”
