Fathers play a heroic role in lives of their children
Frank Farley, a professor in Temple's College of Education, believes there are heroic fathers out there on this Father's Day. He says he laments how much society dwells on the negative and fails to recognize the positive among fathers today: "There are just legions of positive role models, wonderful fathers and wonderful men out there, but we tend to hear more about the negative side and that’s wrong." Farley says he remains optimistic about the future of fathers and the recognition by their children of the heroic role they play every day.
