At a global conference on decision making hosted by India's Allahabad University, Vinod Venkatraman, an assistant professor of marketing at Temple's Fox School of Business, discussed issues related to perceptual decision-making systems and cognitive control during decision making. According to Venkatraman, complex economic decisions, whether investing money for retirement or purchasing new electronics, often involve uncertainty about the consequences of our choices. His research has explored which areas of the brain contribute to strategic control in complex decision making.
