Fox School TEMPO among "most promising" media indexes

The hunt is on to establish a Dow Jones for social media, and the competition is fierce for a compact way to interpret it all. Temple University’s TEMPO effort is among the most wide-ranging and promising. Through an alliance with LexisNexis, Fox School of Business researchers are collecting data for social and traditional media for about 900 candidates. “The whole purpose of this is to see how exposure relates to the polls,” said David Schuff, Fox's director of Innovation in Learning Technologies.
