Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan made his official entrance onto the national stage at the Republican convention. "Ryan's speech will be designed to allay the fears of conservatives who are a little leery of Romney," said Kevin Arceneaux, a political science professor at Temple, before the speech. "He'll want to convince people that he's not an extremist or an ideologue but fix in people's mind that yes, he is a conservative."
