Under the 2012-13 budget proposed by Gov. Tom Corbett, aid to Temple University would be reduced by about 30 percent. If adopted, Temple will have lost more than half its state subsidy over the past two years, university President Ann Weaver Hart said. Temple has already cut $76 million from its operating budget. "The governor's plan, however, is not one that can be met by cutting costs," Hart said in a statement. "If approved, this reduction in support will be felt by every student, parent and employee."
