The Heritage Conservancy in Bucks and Montgomery counties has partnered with Temple’s Master of Landscape Architecture program and Fox School of Business to have students study conservation economics, beginning with a 192-acre tract in Warwick. "We are looking at everything from cultural and historic context to the hydrology, geology and plant communities," landscape architecture student Tracey Carney said. Business students are weighing the costs and benefits of different uses for the land. "If you're a nonprofit, even a relatively small stream of money that comes through is more valuable than the dollar in some sense, because it's flexible money," said T.L. Hill, managing director of the Enterprise Management Consulting Practice at Fox. "It allows you to try new things."
